Degassing Chamber - Design Shop

Small Vacuum degassing chamber for use in moldmaking.  During mixing, air bubbles become trapped and if poured into a mold box may leave voids against part.  Degassing mixture prior to pouring reduces this risk.

Students must provide own mixing supplies and materials

8am-10pm - Shop Attendant can open gate
Access Notes: 
Access is given to students enrolled in College of Design classes and that require shop use. Orientation sessions for these students are given at the beginning of each semester. After attendance, students are granted access to level 2 equipment found in the Design Shop (Table saw, Band saw, Chop Saw, Sanders and Drill press) Other equipment may require additional training and will need to be scheduled in advance.
